What happened to Velo Lab in Bremen?
It didn’t disappear.
It evolved.
The story began in Athens in 2010, when veteran cyclist and mechanical engineer Stathis Stasinopoulos set out to rethink what a bicycle could be.
Years of experimentation, engineering and thousands of hours of R&D followed. In 2017, Velo Lab moved north to Bremen, one of Germany’s most bicycle-friendly cities, where the ideas were refined, tested and pushed even further.
But somewhere along the way, we realised something important.
The bicycle was never the destination. It was the interface.
Engineering lighter, faster and more capable cargo bicycles was only part of the story. What really mattered was where those bicycles could take you — the places, people, landscapes and experiences waiting beyond the workshop doors.
So Velo Lab began cycling south again.
Back to Greece.
Today, the laboratory has no walls.
The test track winds through mountains, villages, coastlines and ancient landscapes.
The showroom is now the world’s greatest open-air museum: Greece.
Velo Lab became VeloGreece — bringing its engineering DNA together with Mediterranean culture, exploration and experiential travel.
Same curiosity.
Same obsession with bicycles.
Just a much bigger playground.
